Custom Rotational Molding

Rotational Molding Products

Rotational molding is ideally suited for low volume plastics. Typically that would be annual volumes of less than 10,000 parts. Because Rotational molding is hollow it is also known for its strength. Resin clings to edges and corners of a rotationally molded part adding stability and strength. Material handling items such as returnable containers and pallets are typically made from rotationally molded plastics.

In comparison to other plastics molding processes, rotational molding is very cost effective. Rotational molds are much less expensive than either injection or blow molding tools and can be easily altered.

Custom Rotational Molding - Products

Because rotationally molded parts are used in many different applications R & R Technologies has evolved over the years to include molded-in inserts, custom graphics, custom colors, and a variety of materials.

Materials include different materials to safely handle fuels, food and heat tolerances. R & R also offers new or what is called "virgin" material and recycled or "regrind" material. Regrind material is made of out of 100% recycled plastics and can be purchased at a lower cost than virgin plastic resin. This reground material is environmentally friendly and can be used for your company's "Go Green" initiatives.

R & R Technologies also offers a very specialized process of being able to foam fill a part with rigid polyurethane foam for additional stability and insulating properties. This process would be more commonly know in coolers, but it is also used in protective cases as well as hospital applications.

R & R also has a very specialized area that makes PVC components that are foam filled with soft polyurethane foam. These components are typically used in industrial equipment for seats, armrests, seat backs and leg bumpers. These rotationally molded vinyl components typically last the life span of the equipment to which they are mounted, unlike sewn components.
